Security, Flexibility and Speed in the Toughest Tactical Environments
Designed for anywhere, anytime mission-critical computing, the Tadpole TOPAZ notebook represents the state-of-the-art in rugged mobile computers. It differentiates itself in four key areas &ndash- performance, display and connectivity. It is as powerful and rugged as it is ergonomic and portable. Designed to meet the U.S. Army Qualification testing.
Tadpole delivers a lightweight, military-rugged, high-performance mobile computer at a COTS price.
Performance - The Tadpole TOPAZ is designed for the power user who needs performance and connectivity in a rugged notebook form factor. It uses Intel Dual Core CPU&rsquo-s with up to 8GB of high speed memory. High performance discrete graphic upgrades support compute and graphics-intensive applications. It also provides real time 3-D imagery, airspace mapping and visualization of the battlefield- workstation class applications- and mobile server performance for deployable server applications.
Display - The Tadpole TOPAZ 15.1&rdquo-display with DynaVue&trade- technology enables optimum viewing in bright light without sacrificing battery life or processing performance. The display uses a conventional 4:3 aspect ratio display to support applications designed for this form factor. This enables users to view images using the maximum area of screen real estate.
Connectivity - Recognizing that both flexibility and security are critical to mission success, the Tadpole TOPAZ notebook supports a wide range of I/O options to connect with peripheral equipment and devices. An integrated Smart Card reader allows controlled access to sensitive computer information, and three segregated Ethernet ports enable authorized military personnel to connect to multiple networks without compromising proprietary applications or protected data. Synchronous and asynchronous serial ports support connectivity to a wide range of communications equipment. 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless capability is an option.
